There is no single best platform for every country. Teachable and Thinkific offer integrated payments for eligible sellers. Podia connects to Stripe or PayPal, while LearnWorlds also offers a Shopify integration. Start with the route your business and bank can actually use, then check billing support and total cost. None can guarantee approval or bypass a payment provider's local restrictions.

Having a Payoneer account or a foreign-currency receiving account alone does not establish that any of these integrations supports your setup. A platform may display a polished global checkout while the creator still lacks a supported withdrawal route. Confirm both sides before building the course or paying for a year.
Integrated payment option
Teachable: strong native commerce where the creator country qualifies
Teachable says its current native payment system is available in 41 countries. Its latest payout guide describes a daily cadence at about two business days; first payouts can take longer. The setup guide still lists weekly/monthly choices, so confirm the account's actual schedule. Payouts use the account's settlement currency. Local checkout methods depend on the bundle. The native route includes automated tax calculation, collection, and remittance in supported markets.
Creators outside the native list are routed to Teachable's Custom Payment Gateway. Teachable describes that route as available in all countries, but it requires the creator to connect an existing Stripe Standard account. That means the practical eligibility still depends on whether Stripe supports the creator's country, entity, and bank setup.
Older Teachable documentation describes a Monthly Payment Gateway with PayPal payouts. Teachable's current transition notice says that route is no longer available to new schools and continues only for legacy users.
Native-payment economics
Thinkific: attractive when Thinkific Payments supports the creator
Thinkific Payments is the default for creators in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. Students can buy from other countries; the supported-country requirement applies to the creator opening the payment account.
Thinkific says native-payment transactions avoid its third-party gateway fee, not all payment costs. Its standalone Stripe connection requires Grow or higher for new access; Basic/Start fee scenarios require confirmed legacy access. PayPal is a separate one-time route. In the fee FAQ's listed countries, affected Stripe rates are 5% on Basic, 2% on Start and 1% on Grow, limited to the first $1 million of calendar-year sales. Processing and other applicable charges remain.

Thinkific's fee FAQ says creators who cannot use TCommerce in their country are not charged the third-party gateway fee. Confirm the rule shown for your account because payment rollouts can change.
Three independent checks
Native eligibility, integration access and surcharge coverage are different lists.
Thinkific's native-country list includes Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Norway and Switzerland. Its extra Stripe-fee FAQ currently lists the US, Canada, UK and EU. Native availability alone therefore does not establish that extra charge. Check the applicable fee notice; future rollouts are not current account evidence.
Fictional illustration: $1,000 of eligible Stripe payment value on Grow adds $10 at 1%. A confirmed legacy Basic connection adds $50 at 5%. Neither amount includes the subscription or processing. These are calculations, not sales results or proof that a new Basic school can connect Stripe. A native Thinkific Payments sale avoids this surcharge but can still incur method, currency, recurring, tax-service and invoicing charges.
Do not copy those Stripe percentages onto PayPal automatically: the fee FAQ describes expansion to other providers as future scope. Check the account's current terms and the exact purchase type. See the Thinkific connection checks and conditional fee model, then record the seller's own evidence.
Best simple direct setup
Podia: straightforward if Stripe or PayPal already works for you
Podia connects directly to Stripe and, on Shaker or Earthquaker, PayPal. Card purchases go through Stripe and PayPal purchases go to the creator's PayPal account. Podia says the sales balance moves into the connected processor rather than being held by Podia.
That simplicity is useful, but Podia does not create a new payout route where Stripe or PayPal is unavailable. The provider still controls verification, holds, withdrawal timing, supported banks, and country eligibility. Podia also notes that payout availability can vary by industry and operating country.
International shortlist note
LearnWorlds offers three routes, but provider eligibility still decides
LearnWorlds supports Stripe, PayPal, and Shopify as built-in payment gateways. Stripe can also expose eligible local methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, Przelewy24, Boleto, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and Afterpay or Clearpay. The extra-method list is for non-subscription payments; it is not a promise that every method supports recurring billing.
Subscriptions are supported only through Stripe. Shopify cannot run alongside the other built-in gateways, and each provider still applies its own country and payout rules. LearnWorlds can also support external payment buttons and manual enrollment, but that creates more operational work and is not equivalent to a fully integrated checkout.

Worked decision
A $30 membership and a $100 course need different checks.
Suppose a creator can receive and withdraw through PayPal, but has no verified Stripe or native-payment access. A $100 one-time course can justify investigating a compatible PayPal checkout. A $30 monthly membership cannot be assumed to work through that same connection: recurring billing, failed-payment handling, and access cancellation must all be supported. This hypothetical example is a product-fit check, not a country or account eligibility verdict.
After confirming the route, model both offers with the online course profit calculator. Include the subscription plan needed for your integration, processing, refunds, and setup costs—not just the advertised platform percentage. Use one consistent planning period; membership renewals are not guaranteed sales.

Which course platform supports every country?
None can promise a working payout in every country. Platform availability, processor coverage, banking support, identity verification, and business rules all affect eligibility.
Can a platform bypass Stripe country restrictions?
A direct Stripe integration cannot. A platform-operated payment system may support a different country list, but the creator must still qualify under that service's rules.
Does LearnWorlds support PayPal and Stripe?
Yes. LearnWorlds supports both as built-in gateways. Stripe is required for subscriptions, while PayPal checkout and currency availability depend on the connected PayPal Business account and its country.
What is the safest test before paying annually?
Complete gateway verification, run a small real purchase, issue a refund, and receive one payout. This tests more than a checkout preview and exposes settlement or withdrawal problems early.
